Ethical Issues Of Health Care - 1104 Words

Ethical Issues in Health Care There are more ethical issues in health care then you could imagine, I will introduce three of such issues here in this paper. For starters â€Å"Making Basic Health Care Accessible,† today in our society there are many Americans that still lack basic health care. Most travel miles to get proper care, and pay extra out-of-pocket to receive this care. Not only basic health care but durable medical equipment (DME) and radiologic testing. Most health care plans have a network of doctors for the members to choose from, which may or may not be feasible for them to get to; therefore, if they purchase out of network benefits they could use a facility close to them and pay a substantial difference for the same care that†¦show more content†¦But we must figure out a way for healthcare reform to become inclusive for everyone, and not set up a system that will fail most Americans, especially senior citizens. Insurance companies need to expand their network of doctors and facilities to prevent this gap of no access to treatment. Currently, providers have opened solo and group practices in the tristate area to make care available to the masses; even this seems to be a minuscule approach, leaving a significant number without access. If the network increases, there will be less of a need to travel and spend more money to receive proper care. However, to prevent this issue from recurring, a â€Å"Universal Healthcare System† needs to be implemented. The next ethical issue we will explore is â€Å"Balancing quality and efficiency in care,† in the attempt to administer health care in a more efficient manner, the quality of care has suffered. Patients are forced from the hospital long before the healing process has begun. Causing an increase in readmittance, after an infection has set in or the patient not healing properly. Home care or after care is an option now to obtain further treatment beyond the hospital stay. The stakeholders here are the patient, the acute care facility, insurance companies, and lawmakers. CMS has instituted a program to reduce the number of readmittances. However, 20% of discharges have been readmitted, (Boccuti Casillas, 2017) yet efficiency is still the afterthought.Show MoreRelatedEthical Issues Of Health Care954 Words   |  4 PagesIntroduction: It is quiet common in health care profession that there is always clash between a patient’s family and health care personnel. The Civil War Of The United States Prisons - 1077 Words

â€Å"Brother against brother.† This was the Civil War being summed up in just three words. Mike Wright wrote, â€Å"On both sides of the war, men and women were locked away in dark prisons or held in outdoor camps under blistering sun and freezing snow. They were fed too little and lived and died under primitive conditions.† One would arguably say that the Northern prisons might feel a little more at home than the Southern prisons, but this wasn’t the case at all, the prisons on each side were both poorly managed, overcrowded and full of diseases. The intentions of the prisons were not necessarily to kill the inmates, but because of poor planning were the prisons filthy. Both the Union’s and the Confederate’s prisons were equally appalling. The†¦show more content†¦During the early years of the war, the two sides frequently had prisoner exchanges, but that was stopped by a decision made by U.S General Grant and Secretary of War, Stanton. T hey both thought that it was pointless and using too much time and people. Robert H. Kellogg, who was a sergeant major, described his entry as a prisoner into the camp on May 2nd, 1864: â€Å"As we entered the place, a spectacle met our eyes that almost froze our blood with horror, and made our hearts fail within us. Before us were forms that had once been active and erect; stalwart men, now nothing but mere walking skeletons, covered with filth and intensity of their feeling, exclaimed with earnestness. Can this be hell? God protect us! and all thought that He alone could bring them out alive from so terrible a place. In the center of the whole was a swamp, occupying about three or four acres of the narrowed limits, and a part of this marshy place had been used by the prisoners as a sink, and excrement covered the ground, the scent arising from which was suffocating. The ground allotted to our ninety was near the edge of this plague-spot, and how we were to live through the warm s ummer weather in the midst of such fearful surroundings, was more than we cared to think of just then.† Andersonville is a southern camp that could easily be compared to concentration camps,. Henry Wirz, in charge of Andersonville, was tried and executed for the crimes that he committed while being in charge.

Benefits of Telehealth for Rural Australians-Myassignmenthlep.com

Question: You are a Systems Analyst that is part of a Project that is being Currently being proposed. Your task is to develop a Vision Document for this Project. Answer: Introduction The research is about Telehealth project which focus on the improvement to access the quality healthcare in the rural public hospital or any type of the health services. The focus is mainly to deliver a high-quality health related process like education so that the people can handle the issues and remove the barriers of distance, time and cost. Being a system analyst, my responsibility is to focus on the different techniques to solve the problems and bring a change in the Telehealth project links urgent care centres (Moffatt et al., 2010). The major objectives of Telehealth are to improve the outcome of the patients and then drive a greater efficiency in the way healthcare is delivered to the people. Problems With the Telehealth, there have been certain issues related to the efficiency of communication between the young people and itself. There have been occasions where the young people with mental problems have to state the issues to different staff of the organisation to get the problems solved. The workers in the Telehealth do not have the idea about when the patient is released and how to monitor them. The problems can also affect the system of the hospital as well as the workers. Hence, the main system needs to work on the information about the patient release with proper education, information and communication that will help in removing the barriers in health professionals and consumers. The distance, time and cost also need to be handled with proper timely delivery that will remove any issues about the health care. The funding of the project is mainly through Videoconferencing which could be a boon for some and loss for the other companies too (Nelson et al., 2016). The focus is a lso depending upon the information system which can affect the total system of the hospital as well as the Telehealth case workers. The modified information system can help in solving the problems. Benefits Some of the advantages of Telehealth can be the improvement with the target market related to the age demographics that are based on the ethnicity, income etc. This allows the company to promote the larger population of the young people and encourage them to promote with a healthy lifestyle (Beukes et al., 2016). The standards are set to hold the health style where the young people are able to focus on the health issues. Telehealth also focus on the earlier stage of growth of the mental health complications where the target is to populate the sufferers where the focus is on the services of older age demographics where mental health issues are less prominent. There is a possibility of advantages that will be offered by Health Records to the different clients. It has been important for the organisation to focus on how the system is able to match with the day-to-day processes where the remote areas need to take hold of the physical presentations as well. A proper check is on how the peo ple are offered a proper administration of data. Telehealth needs to work on accessing the different systems against any security types and then checking over the assaults which will be important for the maintenance of the data wellbeing. (Cox et al., 2017). Capabilities The Telehealth needs to focus on the delivery of high quality health related process which includes the timely delivery of different standards and educational outcome. It will tend to improve the health care standards with proper assigned scope of the project. The market targeting strategy is mainly through education with large share of the segments. The company can focus on the different segmented to achieve a higher and stronger market position with greater knowledge of the needs to market the services. The utilisation of the concentrated marketing will help in marketing the services with the ability to match with the vast range of competitors. The focus is on all age demographics and not only the young people. The young people are generally looked over by the young competitors. Hence, Telehealth focus on how to improve the system functioning with proper operating in the niche market. With this, there is a major focus on how the company is able to focus on the demands of the people and the health issues (Botrugno, 2017). The education is important for a proper setup where the young people who suffer from the mental illness face barriers at the time of embarrassment or in confidence. A proper processing of the amount of data is required for properly dealing with the measures of data. Here, the point is mainly about the usage of the data where the data tends to be destroyed from the database which is affiliated to the Health Record System. The prevention of the data theft and the management of the remote data access is important for shielding the information from any hacking exercises. This is in regard to the possibility with the programmers to get the information. Conclusion The project of Telehealth organisation mainly focus on how the end goals are managed with the proper contribution towards a better process endorsement. Through this, there is a possibility to handle the records of the patient and then work on how the clients and other patients are able to take hold of the information process. (Nnamoko et al., 2016). The vision incorporates about the data of qualities with the Telehealth organisation for social affair. There has been source where a proper access is assured with the authorised standards. This has helped in maintaining the records of the patients as well as working on the benefits, and the problems. References Beukes, R. L., Scott, R. E., Mars, M. (2016). A Kestrel For A Knave Essay Example For Students

A Kestrel For A Knave Essay Billy doesnt exactly live in the land of luxury. He wakes to a grim bedroom and an unpleasant brother on the other side of the single bed, Billy and Jud share: There were no curtains up. The window was a hard-edged block the colour of the night sky Already we see that his bedroom is so basic, that there are no curtains. In Billys house there is no heating and so to get a bit of heat he has a fire, no central heating. The home is where a person should feel at ease and relaxed, but Billy cant enjoy this luxury because when he is at home his brother miss treats him and his mother ignores him. As Billys home isnt pleasant he spends a lot of his time out side. Billy needs to have two worlds because the real world in which he lives treats him extremely badly. Billy does not seem to have a good future ahead of him. His life looks very bleak. To get a bit of money Billy does a paper round. He gets on his bike every morning and delivers papers from his local newsagents; except this morning, his brother, Jud, took Billys bike. So this causes Billy to be late for his job. As Billy collects his papers he steals some chocolate, showing he is hungry. Billy stales quite a lot, but only food and drink, I think he does it because he is always hungry and doesnt get enough food at home. After the paper round Billy goes off to school. Billy school life is not much better than his home life; his school is a run down horrible school. Billy thinks the whole world is against him and he doesnt get along with the other school kids. Barry Hines describes a bewildering scene into which Bill fits appropriately when he is fighting against a schoolmate over his brother: Ii m not frightened of him. Tha would be if he were here. Would I heck, he is nowt you Jud. Tha what! Hei s ti cock oi ti estate, thati s all. Who sayi s? I bet I know somebody who could fight him. Then a fight broke out causing pretty much the whole playground to gather around the boys. As you can see Billys school life also contains bullying, like the kind he receives off Jud. Billy ran at him. The gang scattered. McDowell took a step back, lifted one knee, and pushed Billy off with his foot. McDowell delivered a straight right, which caught Billy smack in the chest and bounced him back on his arse. Although Billy thinks everyone is against him, there is one teacher who likes him due to the Hawk. He helped Billy later on against McDowell, stopping Billy getting in to trouble. This teacher is called Mr Farthing. Mr Fathering can see Billys talents and smartness, even though he isnt academically smart. As he knows this he encourages Billy to talk about it and finds out about Billys Hawk and asks Billy if he can see it. Billys Kestrel is the only ounce of pleasure in his life. Billy found Kes when he was out in the forest and he trained Kes. Billy enjoys time alone with his hawk, Kes, and therefore spends a lot of time training her on the fields. It is on the fields where you get an insite to the talents that Billy Casper has. He trains his hawk with enthusiasm and enjoys seeing her spread her wings and sore through the air. Later on in the book, Jud gave Billy some money to bet on the horses. So, Billy went down to the betting agency and prepared to bet for Jud. Billy spoke to one of Jud friend and he said it was not worth betting on he horse. : No. I wouldnt bother with that one have they got a chance? The man chuckled in his throat and shook his head. Billy didnt need to be told twice. .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1 , .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1 .postImageUrl , .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1 , .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1:hover , .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1:visited , .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1:active { border:0!important; } .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1:active , .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1 .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .ue85df90f6ef6138345d544b369207ae1:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Cybernetic Plot of Ulysses EssayHe took Juds money and ran out of the betting agency. With the money Billy bought some chips from FISH F HARTLEY CHIPS. Then he got some meat scraps for his Kestrel, Kes from GEORGE BEAL FAMILY BUTCHER. Then Billy returns to school. Jud came to Billys school looking for Billy and Billy knew why. Juds horses had won! But there was no bet on them. Jud was coming to get Billy! As soon as Billy saw Jud from his classroom Billy went hiding. Jud couldnt find him anyway, the whole day. So, Jud went elsewhere! There isnt anywhere, apart from being on the field with Kes, that Billy feels safe. In his own home he has to dodge Jud because if he doesnt Jud will take his anger out on him. At school the teachers and pupils bully him because he isnt academically bright. The only person who compliments Billy is one of his teachers, Mr Fathering. He gets an incite to Billys talents and compliments him on them. Marvellous, Casper! Brilliant! Thats one of the most exciting things I have ever seen Youre an expert lad These are the only compliments Billy gets in the book and they are on the field, the only part in Billys environment that Billy can show his abilities.
